Review
Alien GateSTORY / GAMEPLAY
Evil broke the defenses of your planet and opened an Alien Gate through which monsters come out to destroy life. Alien Gate has 25 levels. As a typical D vertical shooter, the gameplay incorporates moving around the screen and shooting waves of enemies. Oh yes, just shoot the enemies until they're all vanished. This is an arcade style experience, but it's not that addictive. It's quite difficult to dodge enemies at times, as the shooting is quite slow but Alien Gate remains one of the very few worthy shoot 'em ups for the CD-i system.

GRAPHICS / SOUND
The graphics look sharp but they are not what most fans are looking for in a shoot em up game. The sprites are quite large and the backgrounds -although static- are colorful and detailed. The sound of the game is fills the whole experience with a few CD Audio music themes and a bunch of cool sound effects.
